
Seven scouts, members of troop 156, left Sunday at 7 a.m. for a week of camping at Camp Glover, the NeTseO Trails Council summer camp on Glover river in Oklahoma.
The boys were accompanied by leader C. K. McClendon. They will return Saturday, June 28.
Jimmy Heard attended camp last week and worked there and will be joined this week by Jimmy Don McBroom, Walter Davis, David Bradley, David Bramlett, Tommy Ensminger, Butch Fowler and Kenneth McClendon.
Several cases of poisonings in cattle and calves have been reported by veterinary practitioners that seem o point to water-damaged, first cutting alfalfa hay, the American Veterinary Medical Association reports.
The water-damage may occur either while the alfalfa is still growing, or in the process of curing. Members of the veterinary faculty at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, are conducting investigations to determine the effect of moisture on the nutritive value and possible toxity of alfalfa hay at various stages of growth and curing.
