February 25, 2010 - 02-18-2010 Deputy Watson was dispatched to an address on FM 1753 regarding a theft. The complainant told Deputy Watson that he found an individual on his property that did not have permission to access the property. This individual was stuck in the mud in the front yard. The complainant observed an airplane engine that belonged to him and another individual to have been moved from its original location. The complainant was able to identify the individual that was on his property and provided this information to the deputy. Case is under investigation.

02-19-2010 Deputy Garrison was dispatched to a burglary call in 3rd St. in Dodd City. The complainant told Deputy Garrison that someone had cut the lock on his storage building and stolen tools from the storage building. The complainant said that he received information regarding 2 individuals that had been seen on the property where the storage building was located. These 2 individuals were seen walking around the property adjacent to the storage building with a flashlight. Both parties were identified by name, as was the vehicle they were driving. After Deputy Garrison cleared the original call site he observed an abandoned vehicle on SH 56 that matched the description of the suspect vehicle. The passenger door on the vehicle was open and no one around the vehicle. A registration check was run and the return showed the vehicle registered to 1 of the suspects. Deputy Garrison saw a plastic tool box in the vehicle that he believed belonged to the complainant. The complainant was able to positively identify the toolbox and the contents as those having been stolen from his storage building. Case is under investigation.
