On May 3, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Officer Rick Milner assisted
Fannin County Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Garrison with an arrest in
the Burns Cemetery near County Road 4602. According to reports, Sgt.
Garrison made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked at the Burns
Cemetery. During contact with the three occupants, Sgt. Garrison observed
alcoholic beverages and two bags of a green leafy substance, marihuana,
inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle also revealed a small
caliber handgun. All three occupants were arrested and later transported
to Fannin Countyjail.
On May 6, at approximately 9:10 a.m., Chief Rick Burns and the Trenton
Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1000 Block
of State Highway 121. According to reports, Kimberly Brown, 23, from the
Bonham area, was traveling southbound on State Highway 121. Brown hydroplaned,
causing her vehicle to cross the northbound lane of traffic and into the
ditch on the east side of the roadway. Brown reported on scene that she
was not injured and no visible damage was noticed on her vehicle. Brown
was able to remove her vehicle from the roadway
