Tiger JV wins 53-36

December 24, 2009 - The Leonard Junior Varsity also brought home a win over Sam Rayburn on Tuesday, Dec 15 with a final score of Leonard 53 and Sam Rayburn 36.

The first quarter saw Storm Taylor making 11 points for the Tigers, and added to the other scores Leonard made, the total was 20 points and Sam Rayburn was held to 11 total points. Although P. Richardson for the Runnin Rebels scored nine points, only one other teammate added any points for the quarter. Sam Rayburn outscored the Tigers in the second period of play making 10 points and holding Leonard to eight. The score at half time was Leonard 28 and Sam Rayburn 21.

The third period of play had no one hot for Sam Rayburn and they scored three points while a variety of players for Leonard score 15 points with Blake Hicks scoring the most at five. Sam Rayburn outscored Leonard in the fourth quarter scoring 12 points while Leonard added 10 to their score. Richardson for Sam Rayburn was hot again scoring five free throws and a two-point bucket while Leonard was once again pretty even in the scoring department.

Storm Taylor was the high scorer with 16 points and Blake Hicks and Jacob Redmon scored nine apiece. Other JV players who scored were Ty Lynn, Matt Wilson, Aaron Shanks, Jordan Norman, and Michael Morgan.
