December 24, 2009 - I, Jennie Burns, would like to announce my candidacy for Fannin County Justice of the Peace, Pct.2.
My husband, Rick Burns, and I have been together for fourteen wonderful years. We have two children, Chase who attends Leonard High School and Cassidy who attends Leonard Intermediate School. We have resided in Leonard the past 7 1/2 years and have loved every minute of it. We may not be "from" here but we certainly call Leonard and Fannin County our home.
Through my working career, I have become a motivated professional with over 12 years of administration and office management experience. Over the years I have gained knowledge in office management policies and procedures and have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills which I believe will be beneficial for the offices of the Justice of the Peace.
Since 2006, I have dedicated time to continuing my education. During my time as a student, I have completed courses in Business Law, Critical Thinking, Written Communication, Behavioral Science, Organizational Theory and Behavior, and Organizational Behavior and Ethical Responsibility; all of which I believe are strengths that I would bring to the office of the Justice of the Peace. In 2008, I received an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting. In mid 2010, I will obtain my Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Administration. I am looking forward to a full time commitment as Justice of the Peace, for Precinct 2; while I strive to acquire my Master's degree. I believe that education is important and encourage all to seek knowledge whenever possible.
As your Candidate, I promise to represent you with high ethical standards and remain fair and impartial to all individuals. I am grateful and honored to be running as your Democratic Candidate for Fannin County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 2. I would appreciate your support and vote in the primary and general elections.
