Chamber of Commerce names 2010 committees

December 17, 2009 - The new president of the Leonard Chamber of Commerce for 2010, Angela Sadler, has begun the year off early with appointing several chairpersons for events that will happen in the city for the upcoming year. Sadler had this to say about the new year, I am very excited about the new year.We have a great group of officers and directors, and we look forward to serving the community in the year to come. I am open to any suggestions on how to improve the current events we sponsor, as well as any suggestions or ideas for new events.I encourage you to come and join us during our monthly meetings every second Tuesday, and I encourage you to become more involved in the Chamber.It is a great organization that does a lot for its community.

The chairpersons for the following events will be: Penny Edwards as the chairperson for the Membership Committee and Chamber Banquet; Scott Blackerby will be in charge of chamber programs each month; Elaine Peebles will be in charge of the Yard of the Month; Angela Sadler and Elizabeth Christman will co-chair the Picnic Committee, the Easter Egg Hunt and Halloween on the Square; Allecia Booher will chair the Christmas Activities committee; Sandy Hood will chair the Toys for Tots Committee; Joyce Buchanan and Rose Farhood will co-chair the Greeter Committee and Jeannie Johnson will chair the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Committee.
