Lady Tigers continue winning streak

December 10, 2009 - The Leonard Lady Tigers defeated the Celeste Lady Blue Devils by a score of 71-34 last Friday in Leonard.

Leading the way for Leonard was Allison Booher with 20 pts, three rebounds, six assists and two steals. Danie Norman finished with 15 pts, five assists, and two steals. Andrea Lyday added 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Najwa Nwankwo led the Lady Tigers in rebounding with 10, followed by Shelby Zumwalt with seven.

Celeste was led by Bailey Fraiser with 13 points, followed by Morgan Lewis and Ashlee Williford with five a piece.

This win for the Lady Tigers makes it four in a row heading into Tuesday nights action verses S & S at Leonard High School. JV girls start time is 4:30, followed by JV boys, Varsity Girls, then the Varsity Boys.

The Lady Tigers finish this week in the Edgewood Tournament, then start district next Tuesday in Tom Bean. Then they will host the Melissa Cardinals at home on Friday, Dec 18th.
