Leas Restaurant to celebrate 25 years in Leonard

By AVA BARLOW, Graphic Staff Writer

December 3, 2009 - Leas Restaurant, owned by Lea Ann Fisher, will be celebrating 25 years of being in the restaurant business in Leonard on January 4, 2010, and through the end of that week with a grand finale in the planning stages for Saturday, Jan. 9.

Lea began her career by opening Pizza and Such in the Leonard Center on January 4, 1985. She served pizza whole or on a buffet with take out or dine in. The salad bar was always stocked and spaghetti and a few other items were also served on the buffet. About a year after opening, she added burgers and a few fried items to her menu. A few years later she moved to her current location under the name of El Sombreros and Mexican food was added to her list of foods prepared and served fresh. Her buffet has grown to include chicken fried steak, fried chicken, chicken strips, fried catfish with all the trimmings on a seafood buffet on Friday nights and several other items have joined her now extensive menu.

Lea plans to celebrate big and give her customers the benefit of having let her serve them over the years by offering retro prices and other advantages to be announced as plans are set in place. Continue checking The Leonard Graphic for ads that will be announcing her customer pleasing deals.
