Funeral services for Sandra Sue Carter Mintz, age 73 of Pilot Point, are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in McKinney/Allen with Norman Weatherby and Jonathan Daves officiating. Burial will be in the Pike Cemetery in the community of Pike. Family visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 7-9 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in McKinney/Allen. She went to be with her Lord and Savior at her residence Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

Mintz was born June 11, 1939 in Dallas. Her mother was Nellie Mae Smith Carter. She graduated from Leonard High School in 1956 and attended Tarrant County Jr. College. She married Arthur L. Mintz on Dec. 14, 1956 in Weatherford. She was co-owner of Art's Air & Heat, a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Tioga, the Southern Gospel Music Association, BYKOTA (Be Ye Kind One To Another Association) and the 19th Century Woman's Club of Pilot Point.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur L. Mintz of Pilot Point; her daughter and son-in-law, Kandy and Scott Farr of Pilot Point; her daughter, Stephanie Mintz of Irving; and her granddaughters, Keri Harris of Apollo Beach, Fla. and Kassie Farr of Denton. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Calvin and Nola Smith.
