May 26, 2011 - The First Baptist Church of Leonard held their end-of-year AWANA Awards Night last Wednesday during mid-week services. Students from every age group sang and recited scripture they had learned during the year.
Pictured in the top photo is Tori Burt s she takes her turn reciting a verse she had learned in AWANA Cubbies. She also quoted a second verse in memory of Ms. Pat Broyles, her teacher at the beginning of the year who passed away in February. Others pictured are Mark Skinner, Izzy Woodruff, and Jesse Gomez along with teachers Shirley Chapman and JoAnne McCain. In the bottom photo, Jesse Marshall leaves the stage with his AWANA Sparks awards, while teachers Rebekah Miller, Dora Hackney and secretary Martie Bohannon prepare to honor the next student.
