June 23, 2011 - Jerry and Ruby Polston of Gober will be honored with a 50th Anniversary Reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the Gober Community Center in Gober. They married on June 24, 1961, in the home of the bride's parents, the late George & Effie White of New London, Calif.
The reception is hosted by their two daughters and their husbands Bobby and Tina Campbell of Belton and Jerry and Sharla Zumwalt of Gober and four grandchildren Wyatt and Weston Campbell and Shelby and Cody Zumwalt.
The couples' secret to a long marriage is "give a little, take a little and have a sense of humor."
