April 14, 2011 - The Webb Hill 4H members involved in the Food and Nutrition Project have scheduled a fundraiser for April 23. The event is a Spring Spaghetti Supper and will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wolfe City C.A.R.E.S. Center. Donations are welcome. April 14, 2011 - The Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope Annual Golf Scramble is scheduled for Friday, April 15, at Webb Hill Country Club in Wolfe City, and will benefit the eight-year-old non-profit organization. All proceeds from the four-person scramble will go towards making Hannah's unique therapeutic riding program available to even more children through additional scholarships and outreach programs.

April 14, 2011 - The Fannin County District Clerk is hosting a Passport Fair in Bonham on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. to provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications. The fair will be held on the second floor of the Fannin County Courthouse located at 101 E. Sam Rayburn Dr. in Bonham (downtown Bonham square).

April 14, 2011 - Darrell Brewer, Fannin County Emergency Management Coordinator arranged for the Texas Division of Emergency Management to present a workshop for public officials and civil servants.

Sherri Copeland, Regional Liaison Officer for region Sub 1C-A used a PowerPoint presentation and lecture on the governmental chain of command for local responsibilities during the four phases of emergency management - mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery, and the emergency management program activities, such as planning, training, and exercising.
